Officer cadets from Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and Somalia had been training for one year at the academy. The Uganda People’s Defence forces returned to Uganda after successfully participating in the All-Africa Military games. Over 101 participants who represented the UPDF in several games including netball, football, Basketball and athletics in Zanzibar returned to a heroes welcome with several medals.
