    HOW ONE NATION ENTERTAINMENT BOSS DAVID KIBUUKA LANDED HIMSELF IN TROUBLE.

    Police in Entebbe is hurting down for Kibuuka David the one nation entertainment boss and organizer of the Chris Martin concerts that were scheduled to take place at Freedom City and aero beach. The freedom city concert on Friday 5th Sep flopped miserably while the aero beach concert didn’t take place as Chris Martin didn’t show up.

    Details began to emerge on Sunday at aerobeach after David Kibuuka didn’t show up with Christopher Martin as had been agreed. Speaking to entebbenews Mr. Monday Asiimwe the aero beach Manager disclosed that aero beach agreed to host Jamaican Artiste Chris Martin after he and Kibuuka reached an agreement. Mr Asiimwe declined to reveal the details of the agreement but a reliable source revealed that David Kibuuka was supposed to pay shs. 5 Million as fee for the aero beach venue.

    Mr. Asiimwe also disclosed that between 6-7pm he contacted David Kibuuka to co-ordinate with him ahead of the concert, Kibuuka told Asiimwe that the concert would take place. Between 8-9pm Asiimwe again contacted Kibuuka to confirm with him whether Christopher Martin would be Performing, Kibuuka purportedly told Asiimwe that Chris Martin wouldn’t be performing at aero beach because it wasn’t safe enough as it didn’t have enough security.

    But entebbenews team that was at aerobeach revealed that there was maximum security. “Police and other private security organs had been deployed to provide security ahead of the concert” a source revealed.

    Aero beach and Top line studios get raw deal, police steps in.

    After realizing that aero beach had got a raw deal, Monday tipped off police and they arrested three people who had been contracted by Kibuuka David’s One Nation Entertainment group to sell tickets at the gate, Entebbenews couldn’t verify how much money had been collected from the ticket sales.

    The three One Nation entertainment contractors were bundled on a police pick-up vehicle and taken to the Airport police station where they spent a night but one contractor was bailed out on Monday after it later emerged that David Kibuuka hadn’t cleared his outstanding debts with them.

    Reliable sources also revealed to entebbenews that Steve Jean agreed to provide sound system to Chris Martin’s freedom city concert after he and David Kibuuka reached an agreement. According to a reliable source the deal was worth Shs. 20m, the source added that David Kibuuka had paid shs.10m to steve Jean and the other balance would be paid before the concert commenced.

    Inside sources who attended the freedom city concert say it flopped miserably and Steve Jean decided to turn off his sound systems during the concert as David Kibuuka had failed to clear the remaining Shs.10m balance.

    At this point David Kibuuka got stuck as he didn’t have sound systems to continue with the concert, it ended. Through his friend Emma Kakooza, David Kibuuka contacted Rich Promotions Director Kawuki Richard to assist him organize the aero beach concert and also get a sound system provider. Later Kawuki Richard contacted Arinaitwe Moses the Director Top line mobile sounds, a sound system company based in Nabweru. Kawuki, Arinaitwe and Kibuuka agreed on a sum of Shs. 6m and Shs. 1.5m deposit was paid by Kibuuka and the remaining Shs 4.5 m balance was to be paid before the concert started.

    According to Moses Arinaitwe the shs. 1.5m that he received was used in transportation and other logistics. He added that Rich promotions director Kawuki Richard brought David Kibuuka to him on Saturday that he had a concert and that he was in need of sound system.

    Arinaitwe disclosed that the one nation entertainment organizers disappeared with his divon microphone worth shs.900,000.

    By late Monday evening, Mr. Asiimwe Monday recorded a statement at Entebbe Airport police station and David Kibuuka together with Hussein al-said were charged with cheating under case reference number SD/17/7/9/2014.

    Mr. Asiimwe together with the help of Airport police managed to notify Airport immigration to immediately arrest David Kibuuka if he attempts to flee the country without settling his debts with aero beach and Top Line Mobile sounds.

    He added that he would inform all Ugandan border points including Busia border point officials to also arrest David Kibuuka if he attempted to flee the country.

    Mr. Arinaitwe Moses was advised by Airport Police to report his case to Nabweru police station since that is where the agreement to provide sound system for the aero beach concert was made.

    In an interview with entebbenews while waiting for Chris Martin on Friday at the Airport David Kibuuka revealed that Balaam an event promoter with whom he was to work with ahead of Chris Martin Concert pulled out three weeks ahead of the concert. According to Kibuuka, Balaam had brought Airtel and Nile breweries to sponsor the concert but they also pulled out.

    “Balaam advised me to cancel the concerts after he had pulled out but I told him I couldn’t” Kibuuka said. “I had to go ahead and organize the concert even if it flopped. Movit came on board to sponsor the concerts” Kibuuka stated.

    In the interview he also dismissed Suudi and said that he was above Suudi at organizing music concerts. “Don’t compare one nations entertainment with Suudi, we are above Suudi” Kibuuka said.

    Who is Suudi anyway? Kibuuka asked sarcastically.

    According promoters who spoke to entebbenews revealed that One nation entertainment didn’t invest in advertising the Chris Martin Concert. “People didn’t know that Chris Martin was coming to Uganda” a promoter who spoke on condition of anonymity.

    By Monday evening conflicting reports had begun to emerge that Chris Martin and David Kibuuka were still in Africana Hotel while other reports indicated that he could have flown out of the country together with David Kibuuka, entebbenews couldn’t independently verify the reports.
