A bitter raging war is brewing up like hot boiling magma between Mayor Kayanja Vincent DePaul and the Nakiwogo Primary School Head mistress Rose Lipa over a road that is located in the school premises. The School Headmistress pointed fingers at Mayor Kayanja over frustrating the school management’s efforts to fence off the school from the locals during a school management committee meeting on Tuesday.
For the last couple of months locals in Nakiwogo Zone and surrounding areas have been illegally accessing the road located in the school premises after Entebbe Municipal Council authorities failed to find an alternative road for the locals. Last week on Thursday the matter took a new twist after Mayor Kayanja directed several unidentified people who stormed the school premises and cut the fence to open up the road again to the locals after it was sealed off.
The school Headmistress and her management committee members maintain that it is the duty of Municipal Council to open up another road (School Close) that the locals are supposed to use and not the road that was illegally created in the school premises. The bitter school management committee members pinned down Municipal Council Authorities after they failed to compensate two families that are currently occupying School Close Road that the locals are supposed to use. The school management committee members also contend that because the locals are illegally accessing the road through the school premises, the school property isn’t secure.

Speaking to a entebbenews on phone Mayor Kayanja revealed that the Nakiwogo Primary School Management committee members should be patient as Municipal Council tries it’s best to generate a solution and compensate the two families that settled on School Close Road. Mayor Kayanja also disclosed that there has been a huge outcry from the locals to have access to the road located in the school premises.
