Kampala’s dance and creative community is gearing up for one of the most exciting youth-driven experiences of the year as Own The Floor Dance Camp 2026 officially takes over the city this May.
Created by celebrated Ugandan dancer Dance Mamweta, Own The Floor Dance Camp is a high-energy platform designed to bring together passionate dancers, creatives, performers, and lovers of urban culture through movement, collaboration, music, and self-expression.
Set to take place on 15th and 16th May 2026 at Motiv Uganda, located on Old Port Bell Road, the two-day experience promises nonstop energy from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day.
Far from being just another dance event, Own The Floor is positioning itself as a creative movement where young people are empowered to build confidence, community, creativity, and visibility through dance and performance culture.

The camp celebrates both African and urban dance styles while creating a vibrant space where dancers can train, connect, vibe, collaborate, and showcase their talent in an inspiring and energetic environment.
This year’s edition features an exciting lineup of dancers, choreographers, DJs, and creatives, including Treee, Emma Kendrick, Bgirl Joan, Bobby Beats, Fleekers UG, Cohen Mayani, Miss Tee, Syrosoff, Afro Prince, Abaddie_Gyal, DanceMamweeta, Uncle Walter Levy, Hama_D3M, and many more talents shaping Uganda’s dance and urban entertainment culture.
With dance culture continuing to dominate entertainment, nightlife, TikTok trends, music videos, and youth spaces globally, Own The Floor Dance Camp arrives at the perfect moment to spotlight Uganda’s next generation of creatives and performers.
Organizers say the experience is all about giving dancers a platform to own their moment, sharpen their craft, connect with like-minded creatives, and celebrate movement without limits.
Tickets are already available, with a one-day pass going for UGX 20,000 while a full two-day experience is priced at UGX 40,000.
