The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces Fisheries Protection Unit has pardoned fishermen and fish dealers operating at Misonzi Landing site in Kalangala District after they pleaded guilty to engaging in illegal fishing which prompted the fisheries Protection Unit to close the landing site for a week. Following a deadly fire that gutted Kimmi Island in Mukono District last year in October and left many residents homeless, Nkumba Rotary Club Stewards on Saturday donated several items to the locals to enable them get back to their normal lives. Over 20,000 Ugandans have been targeted to benefit from the newly implemented project of constructing a grade three health centre at Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe municipality under the Calvary chapel. The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Entebbe on Thursday commissioned three community water taps also known as Public Stand pipes (PSP) in the areas of Bunono, Kawafu and Kabaale (B)  Zones in Katabi Town Council.
