The Entebbe Stages, Conductors And Drivers Association Chairman Fred Kidde, Treasurer Walakira Hood alias Abiola and Kitooro Taxi Drivers Chairman Hajji Hamidu Sebunya have welcomed the arrest and downfall of notorious Boda Boda 2010 Boss and Patron Abdul Kittata.
Abiola who spoke on behalf of the Entebbe Taxi Drivers Leadership pinned down Kittata over the chaos that erupted in Kitooro Taxi Park in 2016 when they had set to hold their elections.
“Abdul Kittata has been interfering in the Entebbe Taxi operations and he was the ring leader of the group that caused chaos in Kitooro Taxi Park in 2016 and beat up our Taxi drivers. We wondered why Kittata who is based in Rubaga Division had an interest in Entebbe Taxi Drivers Matters and yet he has never been a Taxi Driver. Kittata is a criminal and we are glad that he has been arrested”, Abiola stressed.
The Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayiima has categorically stated that Abdul Kittata will have to carry his own cross and answer for all his actions coz no one told him to be big-headed and act with a lot of impunity.
Meanwhile on Monday a group of Boda Boda riders in Entebbe who had planned demonstrations over the dusty Kigungu road called off the demonstrations after they feared they could be associated with the Boda Boda 2010 group. The Boda Boda riders postponed their demonstrations. For the last couple of years, there has been an outcry from Kigungu residents pleading with government to tarmac their road however nothing has been done and residents are suffering with the dusty road.
