Aspiring Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Walusimbi Abubaker has warned his rival Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa that he is ready to battle it out with him in the fourth coming general Elections. Speaking to entebbenews in an exclusive interview Walusimbi lashed out at Mbwatekamwa whom he described as a dictator who doesn’t deserve to be a Member of Parliament.
“Mbwatekamwa is a dictator who doesn’t deserve to be Member of Parliament. He and Kayanja have blocked me from participating in several party activities and now they are fighting hard to ensure that I don’t participate in the upcoming party primaries” Walusimbi stated.
Walusimbi has also accused Mbawtekamwa for being a hot tempered man who beat him up at the recent internal party elections to elect constituency leaders.
“Mbwatekamwa beat me up and blocked me from participating in the just concluded internal party elections that were held at Chang Sha Primary School. He and Kayanja are being selfish because they are hungry for power but I want to seriously warn them that they can’t intimidate and block me from standing as Member of Parliament. It’s the people of Entebbe Municipality to decide not them” Walusimbi disclosed.
He also revealed that Mbwatekamwa was also accused of beating up some NRM councilors several months ago in Lugonjo though entebbenews cannot independently verify these claims.
“He (Mbwatekamwa) can make a good boxer, body guard and club bouncer but doesn’t deserve to be in Parliament” he added.
“I have now formed Real Democrats (RD) Pressure Group to clean up and uproot all the bad elements in the Democratic Party. My focus now is to win the Entebbe MP seat and then I’ll embark on a serious program to cleanse DP of all the bad elements” he stressed.
Walusimbi also revealed that he has made inroads in Entebbe and has collected 4000 signatures as endorsements to stand for parliament.
“Every day I get new members who have been disappointed by other leaders. I have managed to woo many young people because I appeal to them and secondly my message is clear, I have focused my priorities on reforming the education curriculum in schools to include vocational skills and talent development. Many have been enrolled in vocational institutes like the Buganda Royal Institute. Fighting unemployment is the corner stone of my campaign” he stressed.
He also warned Ugandans not to trust former Intelligence coordinator turned government critic Gen. David Sejusa though he is preaching a good message. “We in the opposition are yet to verify his (Sejusa) credibility though he is preaching a good message” he said.
