A senior army officer attached to the Uganda Peoples Defence Air force on Sunday afternoon died on spot in a nasty accident on Entebbe Road. Major Alex Kiwanuka a logistics officer perished in a nasty accident after his grey Toyota Corona no. UAD 299M rammed into a speeding Toyota Super Custom no. UAQ 267T after former Ssese Gateway Beach.
The senior army officer was cruising with a friend identified as Joseph Lubwama in the same car and rammed into the Toyota Super custom van that was heading to Entebbe. The army officer died on spot as he tried to overtake three cars that were heading to Kampala.
The Entebbe Police Traffic Officer Emmauel Mugisha refused to comment on the bloody accident. Police found an AK-47 rifle in the government’s army officer’s car and empty beer bottles. The army officer’s body was immediately rushed to Mulago Hospital City Mortuary while his friend was rushed to Entebbe Hospital in a critical Condition.
