A top Government ministry driver identified Rogers Ssemwanga is cursing like hell and breathing behind bars at Entebbe Police Station after he smashed a 20 year old girl identified as Maureen Nalukwago. The Government Ministry Driver on Monday afternoon at around 3pm smashed the poor girl in Namulanda Zone, along Entebbe Road while he was heading to State House Entebbe from Kampala. And to make matters worse after knocking the girl, the driver just sped off. The poor girl was knocked while she was crossing the road and going to meet her Boss who had promised her a job as a chips street vendor. She sustained severe body injuries including fractured left leg. She was rushed to Entebbe Grade B Hospital where she has been bedridden with no help from the Government Ministry. The Girl’s Guardian Anthony Bukenya revealed that Government Ministry officials haven’t yet provided any coin to help treat the poor girl.
The Entebbe Division OC Traffic Eriya Kamugisha confirmed the accident and revealed that the ministry Driver will be paraded in Court over reckless driving and causing Bodily Injury. The poor girl had just left Masaka village a couple of days ago after she got a job as a chips street vendor in Namulanda.
