Several yet to be identified protesters survived jail by whiskers last week after their plot to dump yellow pigs in Entebbe flopped miserably. A reliable source in the security circles disclosed that the yet to be identified persons were plotting to dump yellow pigs around State House vicinity to embarrass the big man (President Museveni) and the government as he was hosting two big International conferences namely the Nile Basin Summit and the Refugee summit that were all held in State House Entebbe with several heads of State in attendance including the UN Secretary General.
“After getting credible information that some unidentified people were planning to dump yellow pigs around State House Vicinity to embarrass Mzee (President Museveni) who was hosting two big International Conferences the Nile Basin summit and Refugee summit, we decided to deploy heavily along Entebbe road because we had already got the car registration number. We were just waiting for them to start dumping the yellow pigs and we arrest them. After learning of the heavy deployment along Entebbe road and joint operation, they abandoned their plan”, a security officer who spoke on condition of anonymity disclosed.
Police in the recent past has arrested several youth from the Jobless brotherhood for dumping yellow pigs at Parliament and along Kampala streets with names of Members of Parliament and government officials whom they accuse of engaging in corruption written on them.
