On Tuesday Entebbe Police cops busted a marijuana Plantation in Entebbe following a tip-off from their scouts. The Marijuana Plantation was discovered and busted at the Directorate of Water Resources Management offices in Bugonga zone, Entebbe Municipality where it was being grown on the government department land. Police stormed the area and uprooted the prohibited illegal plant. Joseph Erochu, the Directorate of water Resources Management head of Security was rounded up and taken to Entebbe Police Station as a prime suspect after he failed to give a clear answer over the Marijuana Plantation. He was grilled by the OC CIID Zachariah Mbabazi over failing to man the government land and office premises.
Zachariah Mbabazi indicated that though Joseph Erochu was granted Police Bond, he was charged with Neglect of duty and failing to prevent a felony. Mbabazi said that Erochu will help Police in investigations since the Marijuana was being grown a few meters away from his residence.
