Wakiso Resident District Commissioner Ian Kyeyune has tasked all ruling National Resistance Movement party members in Entebbe to unite and defeat the Democratic Party in next year’s general elections. Kyeyune who was speaking at the celebrations to mark NRM’s 29 years in power held on Sunday at Kigungu Primary School called on all party members in Entebbe to re-organize themselves and put their differences aside in order to defeat the Democratic Party in next year’s general elections.

“I want to appeal to all NRM Members to put all their differences aside and walk together in order to win the 2016 elections. We cannot afford to give Entebbe back to the Democratic Party” Kyeyune stated.

“It is shameful that President Museveni is surrounded and living with Democratic Party ‘Wolves’. We should re-organise ourselves and defeat the Democratic Party in the 2016 general elections” Kyeyune stressed.

“We shouldn’t repeat the mistakes we made in 2011general elections when NRM was massively defeated by the Democratic Party. We need to ensure that right from LCI up to Parliament level NRM wins all positions” Kyeyune added.

He thanked all Entebbe NRM Leaders for rising up after being defeated in the 2011 general elections and promised to meet all Wakiso NRM Leaders to discuss several pending issues including searching and fielding party flag bearers in addition to solving internal party rivalry and infighting.

He also castigated Entebbe Municipality RDC Rose Kirabira for failing to promote the NRM party in Entebbe and instead goes around praising Mayor Kayanja Vincent Depaul.

“I am going to schedule a meeting with RDC Rose Kirabira very soon to advise her to stop praising Kayanja” he stressed.

“I want to thank all Entebbe residents and wanainchi for supporting NRM and President Museveni and I urge you all to embrace NAADS Program” Kyeyune said.

“I appeal to the Wanainchi who are the source of energy and support for the NRM to remain Nation builders and patriotic citizens” Kyeyune continued.

Kyeyune paid tribute to the Late Edward Tumusiime a veteran NRM Leader and Wakiso LCV Chairman who succumbed to cancer of the colon disease last year.

Mean while former Entebbe Municipality Mayor Kabuye Stephen and also Chairman NRM Entebbe called on NRM leaders in Entebbe to continuously sensitize residents on poverty eradication programs.
