Kabaka Ronald Mutebi loves preaching the poverty alleviation gospel among his subjects more than anything else on planet earth. The Buganda Kingdom ‘Lion’ for the last couple of years has been moving places in his kingdom and encouraging his subjects to work hard and avoid begging for handouts. The hunky man has warned his subjects several times to stop wasting time in booze and concentrate on fighting the biting poverty. The Buganda Kingdom top man caused storm in Entebbe after he paid a courtesy call to his residents on Tuesday to promote ‘Bulungi Bwasi’ (community work) ahead of the Kingdom’s Independence Day celebrations on 8th October. He officially launched a manmade lake named “Nambigirwa” in Katabi Sub county Busiro South and urged his subjects to avoid living reckless life styles. He visited Botanical gardens where he urged his subjects to conserve nature. He wrapped up his visit at Nakiwogo Primary School where he planted a tree and walked away majestically back to Kampala in his convoy.
The Buganda Kingdom big man was accompanied by his right hand man Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, his flamboyant son Prince Juju Kimera, Wakiso LCV Chairman Matia Bwanika Lwanga, Buganda Minister for Gender and community development Christine Mugerwa Kasule and Busiro County chief Eng. Charles Kiberu. Lots of aspiring politicians including Hon. Amon Muzoora, Rose Tumusiime, Maj. (Rtd) Julius Rubahimbya, Madina Zalwango and aspiring LCIII Councilor George Ntoganyi fought tooth and nail to shake Kabaka’s hands and get blessings in the boiling political wave but they were pissed off after they were bounced from reaching his tent. Our reporters covered his visit.
