Former Obsessions singer Jackie O has addressed the longstanding rumour that she once had a romantic relationship with Ronnie Mulindwa and gave birth to a son.
Jackie O, real name Jackie Tusiime Ssempijja, confessed in an exclusive interview that she first met Ronnie during high school at Mariam High. By then, Ronnie was a member of the Obsessions, and they usually performed at their school.
Jackie revealed that she had a crush on him and eventually dated him. They, however, broke up later, and she hooked up with another person, as Ronnie moved on to Sharon O. She kept her relationship away from the public eye until her introduction and wedding.
By then, Ronnie was in a serious relationship with Sharon O. When Jackie had her first child, rumors started circulating that Ronnie was responsible. This allegedly led to the bitter split between Jackie and Sharon.
“I cannot talk about him often because I try to protect my family. When we were still at Mariam High, The Obsessions used to come for performances, and Ronnie was my favourite. He was the most interesting person to me. I could say I had a childhood crush on him,” she said.

Jackie O further noted that she was not bothered by Sharon and Ronnie’s hookup because she had moved on, and the former bandmate was not her close friend before the affair.
