After completing her treble (three) superb victories first when she trounced eight candidates in the heated NRM Party primaries to emerge as the Party Flag bearer for the Entebbe Municipality Parliamentary seat, secondly when she beat twelve candidates in the February 18 Parliamentary polls and thirdly when high court dismissed with costs a petition that former Democratic Party Flag bearer Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa had filed challenging her February 18 Victory, on Sunday August 28 Hon. Rose Tumusiime fulfilled her promise and returned to the people of Entebbe Municipality to thank them for entrusting her with their votes but above all she held the thanksgiving mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church to thank and praise her awesome and wonderful God who has made her Journey to Parliament possible.
Hon. Tumusiime, an Anglican of St. John’s Parish Church chose to have the thanks giving mass at St. Anthony’s Church to honor her Late Mother Mary Bikaako who passed on August 28 2014 and was a historical member of the Church.
“I chose to have the thanks giving mass at St. Anthony’s Church to honor my late Mum who always prayed from here. Mum always encouraged me to go higher and higher in the political ladder and I’m here to tell her that I’ve fulfilled her dream”, Hon. Tumusiime said in her remarks.

She also scoffed at her haters who said so many awful things when she lost her beloved Children Doreen Tashobya and Patrick Busingye two months ago in a tragic accident.
“Those who don’t like me should start getting used to seeing my face because I’m the Member of Parliament for Entebbe Municipality until 2021”, Hon. Tumusiime said.

She was accompanied by her father Robert Bikaako, her family, relatives, former Entebbe Municipality Mayor Stephen Kabuye, Division ‘A’ LCIII Chairman Michael Mutebi, speaker Entebbe Municipal Council Peninah Kasaijja and Councilors.
At the main celebrations that were held at the Mayor’s Gardens Hon. Tumusiime thanked all the NRM leaders, Entebbe Airport NRM Group and everyone who supported her bid to join parliament.

In her speech she emphasized the “Kisanja Hakuna Mchezo” slogan and revealed that the time for politicking and playing games is now over.
“The time for politicking and playing games is now over. We are now focusing our attention to ensuring that we lift Uganda into a Middle Income Country by 2020 and those who will frustrate or stand in our way will be dealt with accordingly”, Hon. Tumusiime emphasized.
She hailed her predecessor Hon. Muhammad Kawuma and Entebbe NRM Youth leaders for their support and promised to unite all the people of Entebbe regardless of tribe, religion or political party affiliation.
“Our duty as leaders is to create an enabling and conducive environment for people to start their own income generating projects. I’ll work with all those I contested with for the Parliamentary seat to ensuring that we make Entebbe Municipality shine again because they too had wonderful ideas”, Hon. Tumusiime stressed.
Meanwhile Minister of State for Tourism Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda Ssubi who was Chief Guest hailed the people of Entebbe Municipality for electing Hon. Tumusiime.
“I would like to thank the people of Entebbe Municipality for electing Hon. Tumusiime. You (Entebbe Municipality residents) voted ability and not tribe. Other parties play tribal politics but in NRM we are all equal and exercise Democracy”, Minister Kiwanda stated.
“Hon. Tumusiime is a team player and we shall work with her in implementing the NRM Manifesto as well as fighting poverty in households and I call upon everyone to join us in the “Kisanja Hakuna Mchezo” because we shall not allow anyone to frustrate government programs”, he said.
The victory celebrations were attended by a host of Members of Parliament including Minister of State for Planning David Bahati (Ndorwa West MP), Minister of State for Primary Education Hon. Rosemary Sseninde (Wakiso Woman MP), Hon. Robinah Gureme Rwakoojo (Gomba West MP), Hon. Dr. Kefa Kiwanuka (Kiboga East MP), Hon. Kitata Abdul (Bukoto West MP), Hon.
