On Sunday Hon. Rose Tumusiime and her family held a thanks giving service at St. John’s Church were they thanked God for being so merciful and faithful following her victory on February 18 and recently the court victory where the high court dismissed with costs a petition that former DP flag bearer Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa had filed alleging that Hon. Tumusiime rigged her way to parliament.  She said that out of the 13 candidates that were contesting for the Entebbe Municipality parliamentary seat, God chose her to be the next Member of Parliament. She revealed that though so many people talked ill about her parliamentary aspirations and called her names, she never wavered and only continued to put her trust in God. Hon. Tumusiime thanked the St. John’s Church mother’s union fraternity where she is Chairperson and everyone who stood with her when she lost her beloved children Doreen Tashobya and Patrick Businge in a tragic accident on June 21, 2016. She presented a letter to the congregation that she wrote to God on February 25, 2015 asking God to fulfill her dream to be the next Member of Parliament for Entebbe Municipality and indeed God fulfilled her dream. The Thanks giving ceremony was presided over by Rev. Samuel Atabua and the guest preacher was Mrs. Patricia Okiria who warned the congregation over greed and selfishness.  Hon. Tumusiime was accompanied by her dad Mzee Robert Bikaako, her father-in-law Mzee Eriya Gumizamu, children and several family members.
