The Ugandan government has been advised to promote heritage studies in the school curriculum. This was revealed at a meeting organized by the Cross Cultural Foundation of Uganda and the International National Trust Organization in Entebbe. A Uganda Peoples Defence Force (UPDF) soldier attached to the elite Special Forces Command (SFC) has reportedly gone missing. The soldier is reported to have been grabbed by Rwandan security operatives in Kabale District under unclear circumstances. The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has directed the halting of operations at Great Lakes Regional University in Kanungu District to allow investigations into the institution to take place without interference. Registrars in the Judiciary have received brand new SUVs to facilitate their movement while on official duties. The vehicles were handed over by the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary, Pius Bigirimana, during a ceremony held at Judiciary headquarters in Kampala on Tuesday.
