Court in Entebbe that was presided over by Entebbe Grade one Magistrate Mustulah Mulondo on Thursday convicted forty three prostitutes to three months in Kigo prison for being a public nuisance.
The convicts include Teddy Nasaka, Jane Namuga, Allen Natukunda, Diana Nakafeero, Gloria Namara and Phionah Mbabazi among others.
The forty three convicts were sentenced after they pleaded guilty to committing the offense and expressed remorsefulness to the offense.
The Magistrate also gave the convicts an alternative of paying court fine worth Shs 150,000 each of them.
The convicts committed the offense on 13, July, 2017 at Abaita Ababiri trading center where they vend their thighs every night.
After sentencing the convicts, the magistrate advised the convicts to quit prostitution and engage in other legal activities that can enable them earn a decent living.
