Socialite Bad Black, real name Shanitah Namuyimbwa, has left viewers stunned after she confessed that she bleached to change her identity.
In numerous interviews, Bad Black has always bragged about how much bleaching enhanced her beauty. During her interview with Sanyuka TV, however, she confessed that she changed her skin tone to obstruct justice.
A few years back, Black was in jail over conspiring with one of her ex-boyfriends, Meddie Ssentongo, to embezzle approximately Shs10.3 billion from his ex-boyfriend Greenhalgh and was convicted of fraud and sentenced to four years in prison.
When she was finally granted bail, she decided to run away, and because she wanted to confuse those looking for her, she tried to change her face, which included bleaching.

“I came out of prison looking so good, and one could easily confuse me for an Indian. Bleaching my skin at first wasn’t about beauty, by the way. I was trying to run away from the law. I thought when I changed my color and came back to Uganda, no one would recognize me.
I went out of the country and had a nose job and also bleached my skin just to confuse them. Later on, I realized it was also a beauty enhancer, but I initially didn’t do it for that. If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have ruined my natural color,” she said.
