Musician Vyroota, real name Musigazi Abdul Aziz, has become the center of discussion after he appeared on social media with painted nails and plaited hair.

Well-manicured nails are becoming increasingly common, with some considering them a fashion statement.

It may not be a common practice among male Ugandan artists, but Vyroota chose to challenge the societal gender norms surrounding nail painting, and he is getting slammed for it.

In the video clips circulating on social media platforms, Vyroota is seen unplaiting his hair and blow-drying it with a hand dryer. He shared another clip of himself getting his nails done with a full-blown black-themed manicure.

This is not the first time Vyroota’s fashion sense has sparked controversy on social media. He has been criticized for piercing his nose, putting on short shorts, and tight sweatshirts. Even with the negative comments, Vyroota has continued to do what pleases him, and he is less bothered by what haters have to say.

A section of social media users, however, have defended him, saying that he was embracing modernity, which is highly needed in the fast-evolving world of celebrities.
