Mayor Emeritus Stephen Kabuye, a close family friend of the Ssettimba’s described the Late Ssettimba as a man who strived to unite people from across the divide.
“The Late Ssettimba has been a strong pillar in the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church. He had a special relationship with God. He was a prayerful man who strived to unite people from across the divide. He always united us in the church; he always interacted and worked with politicians and was loyal to Buganda Kingdom. I remember he blessed me and my wife Rosette when we got married. During my time as Entebbe Municipality Mayor, we (Municipal Council) saw it befitting to name a road after him, Elder Ssettimba Road in Kitoro”, Mayor Emeritus Stephen Kabuye said.

Late Ssettimba’s widow, Florence Ssettimba thanked God for the gift of her husband.
We got married on May 8, 1983 and since then we have been one, Ssettimba has loved me till the end. He has been an exceptional man.
