We shall continue to strive hard so that we qualify for the AFCON in 2017” this was Mawejje’s statement upon arriving at Entebbe Airport from Morocco where Uganda failed to qualify for the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea after losing 2-0 to Guinea
Captain Andy Mwesigwa returned with fellow team mates after it had been rumored that he would connect to Kazakhstan where he plays his Club at FC Ordabasy. Massa, Kizito and First choice Goal Keeper Onyango didn’t return with team mates, they connected to their clubs.
The National team together with other technical staff touched down at Entebbe Airport aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR1387 and all of them shunned the Bus which had come to pick them. Many opted to travel in their private vehicles after they were threatened that they would be stoned along the road by angry and disappointed Ugandans.
