
Hundreds of mourners from different parts of Entebbe Municipality bid farewell to the Entebbe African Village Boss Livingstone Kiwanuka who was laid to rest on Thursday in Bunono Village, Abaita Ababiiri in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District. The Late Livingstone Kiwanuka who will be remembered as a very shrewd, witty and principled business man was escorted by hundreds of mourners mainly from Entebbe to his final resting place after he lost the battle to prostate cancer on Tuesday.
While delivering her eulogy, Late Kiwanuka’s widow Persis Kiwanuka shared her ups and downs with her husband amidst a fully packed St. Mark Church Congregation. She spoke candidly about how her marriage to Livingstone Kiwanuka hit the rocks and she almost filed for divorce because she couldn’t stomach Livingstone Kiwanuka’s adulterous behavior.

“My Marriage to Livingstone Kiwanuka had so many ups and downs. Our marriage hit the rocks because Kiwanuka wasn’t a simple man. We always disagreed because he lived an adulterous lifestyle but I give thanks to God almighty because eventually realized his mistakes and got saved. He has died a saved man and I know he will go to heaven”, Persis Kiwanuka told the fully packed St. Mark’s Church congregation that included among others former Entebbe Municipality Mayor Stephen Kabuye, former UBOS Boss Male Mukasa, veteran Bakayimbira Drama actor Andrew Benon Kibuuka, Busiro East Member of Parliament Medard Segoona.

The Late Livingstone who had been battling Prostate Cancer since 2015 was always in and out of several hospitals and medical facilities including Victoria Medical center, Emmanuel Medical Center, Mulago Hospital, Hospice Uganda, palliative care association of Uganda and lastly Lee Memorial in Kigo where he breathed his last.
Paul Kiwanuka who spoke on behalf of the Children described his late father as a loving and caring dad who was very principled and always kept time. Paul Kiwanuka also promised on behalf of the Kiwanuka family to carry on their late father’s legacy of continuously beautifying St. Marks Church where he was a strong pillar.

The Late Livingstone Kiwanuka died aged 77 years and is survived by 12 children.
