

The much fancied Golf Challenge between team Katogo Vs team Kabalaza took an epic turn at the Par 71 Entebbe Golf Course on Saturday after team Katogo put up a formidable challenge to edge their rivals who seemed a hard nut to crack. Both team Katogo and Kabalaza finished with an identical score of 14 points and had to sort themselves out in a sudden death tournament. Immediate past Golf President Kiryowa Kiwanuka popularly referred to as (K.K) from team Katogo edged Kabalaza’s Vincent Katutsi in the sudden death challenge thanks to his spectacular performance on the 18th hole. Earlier on K.K also walloped his Kabalaza opponent Herbert Mwetemba (8&7) in the match play format while immediate past Entebbe Club Chairman Innocent Kihika featured for the Katogo side and beat his elder brother Oscar Kihika (7&6).


Katogo team captain Maxi Byenkya lost (2&1) to Kabalaza’s Nancy Muraya while Kabalaza team captain Joseph Galiwango finished all square. Team Katogo were crowned second edition winners while golfer of the day K.K walked away with an assortment of prizes courtesy of Maxi Byenkya. Kabalaza won the inaugural Kabalaza Vs Katogo Golf Challenge that was launched last year. Close to 70 players graced the second edition of the Kabalaza Vs Katogo Golf Challenge.
Kabalaza team captain Joseph Galiwango failed to swallow defeat and vowed to organize another tournament to revenge their loss.
