

Three wanted rowdy Democratic Party (DP) bosses in Entebbe Municipality on Tuesday evening surrendered themselves to Entebbe police on accusations of assaulting National Resistance Movement (NRM) Mobilizers. They include Juma Mukasa (Entebbe Municipal youth councilor), Magwa Sali (DP spokesperson) and Tadeo Kibirige (DP mobilizer).
The trio surrendered themselves to police following the arrest of their co-accused Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa (Mayor’s political Assistant) who was arrested and later released on police bond on the same accusations.
The trio who were shivering like wet chicks, upon arrival at police were informed that they were under arrest on accusations of assault and immediatel were ordered to put off their shoes and belts on top of surrendering theirproperties to the police counter for safe custody.
The trio panicked as their hearts beat several times before phoning their colleagues who in turn intervened and negotiated with police to grant them police bond.
Entebbe CIID boss, Joseph Sentamu Bitali confirmed that the suspects were arrested upon surrendering themselves at police but were later granted police bond after presenting sureties who stood in for them. He disclosed that police has already forwarded the suspects’ file to court waiting to be sanctioned by Entebbe Resident State Attorney (RSA).
It be recalled that the trio and their accomplice Michael Kakembo turned rowdy in a Democratic Party (DP) meeting held a fort night ago in Lugonjo zone at Hajj Abdu Kikomeko’s home where descended on three passerby National Resistance Movement (NRM) stalwarts and thumped them thoroughly accusing them of carrying out a drive misinforming the electorate that the meeting was illegal and postponed yet it was going on. The victims included Paul Bahemuka (Vice chairperson Lugonjo village), Joseph Nsamba and Christopher Kavuma and all NRM mobilizers in Lugonjo zone in Entebbe Municipality.
