    Residents Urged To Fight Poor Hygiene In Homes.

    The Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament has urged all residents to avoid littering garbage and rubbish in their homes. Hon. Tumusiime who was speaking during the launch of the “Buntu Bulamu and Bulungi Bwansi” at the “Kabaka Kato Buganda Lubiiri” in Lunyo Parish, Entebbe Municipality called on residents to pay attention to matters concerning hygiene and sanitation in their respective homes adding that it is due to poor hygiene and environmental degradation that the world continues to bear the brunt of Climate Change.

    She called on the local leaders to sensitize the residents in their respective areas on how to sort out garbage and rubbish. She advised the residents to always separate Polythene bags locally known as “Buveera” from decomposing garbage to easily get manure and brickets that work as an alternative fuel source other than cutting down trees for Charcoal.

    Mayor Kayanja who also participated in the clean up exercise called on parents to constantly teach their kids about the importance of hygiene and conserving the environment. He said that kids who are the future generation will be the ones to suffer the adverse effects of climate Change.

    Meanwhile the “Kabaka Kato Buganda Lubiiri” Katikkiiro Musajja Akawa Isaac hailed Hon. Tumusiime, Mayor Kayanja and several other local leaders for being supportive to Buganda Kingdom programs. He called on the residents to constantly maintain hygiene in their homes and avoid littering polythene bags.
