Today, Bobi Wine was joined by several other creatives to hold a memorial mass, marking the 18th anniversary of the late Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Kafeero.
Paul Kafeero died on 17 May 2007 at the age of 36 due to complications linked to kidney failure. Following his death, he was laid to rest in Nkonkonjeru, Mukono District, at his ancestral home.
His passing was a considerable loss to Uganda’s music scene, and he is remembered as a gifted musician and songwriter who left a lasting influence.
Kafeero’s burial site is a significant location where Ugandans and music enthusiasts visit to honor his musical talent.

Every year, his fans, family, and other creatives team up to honour his legacy. Today, a prayer mass was held at St Agnes Catholic Church, Makindye.

During the mass, Kafeero was remembered as one of the most talented musicians Uganda has ever had, and other musicians are advised to learn from his gift.
