Nkumba varsity students woke up to the shocking and devastating news on Monday after they discovered their fellow student identified as Albert Irra Michael a Ugandan of South Sudan origin dead. The 23 year old second year social sciences student was discovered dead and decomposing in his ‘Muzigo’ at Mutabazi Hostel located in Bwaise a few meters away from the university campus. Some of his buddies revealed that they spent several days without seeing the deceased and thought he had travelled to the village in Adjumani to visit his relatives. The poor guys tried contacting him on his mobile number but he wasn’t picking their calls. They decided to storm his ‘muzigo’ to check whether all was fine only to be welcomed by a deadly smell. The poor guys peeped through the window and tried shouting his name for him to wake up. The deceased lay motionless and wasn’t responding. The poor guys broke down in tears and alerted the neigbours who surrounded the area like a swarm of bees in no minute. Mpala Police cops swung into action and broke the padlock to his room.
The deceased was found dead on his bed dressed in boxers with no scratch. It is suspected that the deceased passed away on Friday last week after puking and shitting on himself. Close neighbors indicated that the deceased wasn’t suffering from any serious illness. Nkumba University authorities dispatched an ambulance that took his body to Mulago Hospital for postmortem as Police continues with the investigations into the cause of death.
