Following their 6-3 thrashing of Mapeera Young in the group stages, Namayirira Cup favorites Ludo advanced to the semifinals after they edged Das 4-3 on penalty shootouts after 1-1 draw in the quarterfinals that were held at the Kiwafu Play Ground. Ludo’s victories proved that their strong and experienced squad that includes goal poacher Ali Kisira, midfield anchor man Wamala Jonathan and seasoned Skipper Innocent Hasashya is hungry for the trophy and will take on Red Rooster, an equally strong and experienced side in the semifinals on Sunday at the Kiwafu Play Ground.

Meanwhile in other quarterfinal matches, Mapeera (seniors) walloped Blue Sailors 4-0, Red Rooster eliminated EDIBBA (7-6) after a goalless draw, Lake Victoria Hotel (Laico) beat young boys 1-0.
