First time participants Civil Aviation Authority Netball Team claimed victory at the fourth Edition of the annual Muhoozi Victory Cup Championship held at the Wankulukuku Grounds on Sunday. CAA beat Mustard seed 11-10 in the finals to claim their first Muhoozi Victory Netball title. First son and SFC Boss Brig. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who was represented by Hon. Frank Tumebaze minister for the Presidency and NRM Party diehard also awarded the Netball team with a goat that will be roasted in the next few days.
CAA sports coordinator Emmanuel Kasagga attributed the victory to constant training and support from Management.
“CAA is becoming a giant in sports thanks to the efforts of Fred Bamwesigye our Human Resource Manager and sports patron. We also participate in the Airport Football league, corporate Beach Soccer and corporate sports Gala that is held every last Sunday of the month ” Kassaga told entebbenews.
Kasagga also lauded team captain Lucy Nalubega and Joseph Wasswa the team coach for guiding CAA to their first inaugural victory.
Hon. Frank Tumwebaze thanked CAA for participating in the championship and urged other organizations to engage in sports because it is through sports that unity, cooperation and harmony are fostered. Close to 30 Netball teams took part in the 2015 Edition.
