Entebbe Municipality LC 3 Division B Chairman Anthony Segujja has embarked on campaigns to retain his job that he has enjoyed for the last five years after he kicked out NRM’s Joseph Ssesanga in the 2011 polls. The Democratic Party diehard has rolled out a massive campaign program including sports competitions to woo voters and is moving all over the municipality promising a lot of stuff for the residents including modernizing the taxi park, establishing a fully furnished health centre and a technical institute as well as improving on the football grounds that are in a sorry state. The LC 3 Boss is vowing to crack down on residents with animals including dogs, goats and cows that keep loitering around the town scavenging for food. He is also vowing to crack down on residents with unplanned structures that are encroaching on the road reserves. The DP stalwart organized a sports Gala on Labour Day at the Kiwafu Play Grounds were his supporters turned up in big numbers.
Segujja intimated to our scouts that he intends to start a netball and football team for the division in addition to maintain the town clean.
He also disclosed to entebbenews that revenue collection in Entebbe has increased from Shs 950 million to Shs 1.6 billion and has also trained 75 unemployed youth in vocation skills.
