In a bid to restore the glory of the once powerful and revered Primary Schools in Entebbe Municipality, Entebbe Municipal Council under the stewardship of Mayor Vincent Kayanja DePaul has dedicated the second Edition of the Entebbe Marathon slated to take place on Saturday March 17, 2018 to supporting the rehabilitation of all UPE Schools in Entebbe Municipality. Lake Victoria School, a notable School in Entebbe is targeting to raise a total of UGX 18,795,000 (Eighteen million seven hundred ninety five Thousand Shillings) from the marathon, funds that will go towards re-roofing the school block at the lower section.
We are targeting UGX 18,795,000 (Eighteen million seven hundred ninety five Thousand Shillings) from the marathon to help in re-roofing a school block at the lower section that has asbestos on it which is a health hazard thus exposing our school children and all stakeholders to the risk of contracting cancer. We are calling upon all old boys and girls to support the initiative by buying a running kit at only 10,000 Shs at Lake Victoria School, Lake Vic. School Head Teacher Stephen Nabende revealed.

The school management committee chaired by Dr. Nathan Twinamatsiko, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) chaired by Vikman Pros and chairman Old Students Association Samson Semakula have all welcomed the initiative and are actively mobilizing the old students and well wishers to raise funds through the marathon. Other old students who are on the mobilization committee include Pamela Namara and Jannat Kagoya.
