The Semifinal clash between Katabi-Kitubulu and Katabi-Namate lived up to it’s expected billing on Thursday with Katabi-Kitubulu booking their place in the Division ‘A’ Finals. Katabi-Kitubulu eased past their counter parts 3-0 in the semifinal that was held at the sandy Katabi Gombolola football Ground also home to Entebbe based Fufa Big league side Masavu. Sula Pato Mutebi opened the score sheet for Katabi-Kitubulu with a superb goal in the 15th minute. Ssesanga Arafat who substituted injured Paul Kato in goal had a rough time after Kitubulu’s Peter Masete capitalized on his poor goal keeping skills to score two goals in the 42nd and 62nd minute.
Masavu stars Fred Umony and Kenneth Tumusiime who featured for Namate couldn’t save their side that had proved weak and inexperienced right from the start of the match. Katabi-Kitubulu now awaits for the Division ‘A’ Finals against Lunyo East who edged Nsamizi 2-0 at the Police football grounds.
