Fast-rising artist Kapeke, real name Nsubuga Derrick, has revealed that he would turn down a collaboration with Cindy Sanyu because of their age difference.
Kapeke made the revelation during an interview with NRG Radio. He was tasked with naming the trending female artists he wanted to work with, and instantly named Sheebah Karungi.
This is mainly because he loves her music and vibe, which would easily match his. Kapeke, however, rejected the presenter’s suggestion that teaming up with Cindy would be a huge deal for him, as they would complement each other with their style of music.
In his defense, Kapeke revealed that he would not opt to work with the self-styled ‘King Herself’ because apparently, she is not from his era. Born in 2000, the youngster felt like Cindy was out of his age bracket and didn’t know most of her songs.

He emphasized that he grew up listening to and loving Sheebah’s music; only a collaboration would make sense.
“I will not lie to you because I’m real. I only want to work with Sheebah. Cindy is not from my era. Truthfully, I think I only know one song from her, which is ‘Boom Party’. I have grown up in Sheebah’s era, the 2000s. I feel Sheebah’s music so much,” Kapeke said.
