Musician Kapeke, real Derrick Nsubuga is under scrutiny for insulting a deejay midway through his performance over the weekend.
The incident happened at the recently concluded Zzina Carnival at Forest Park Buloba. Kapeke had gone up the stage to perform and the DJ put effects in his song, something which pissed him off.
Kapeke insulted the deejay using vulgar language, sending the crowd into a frenzy. He swiftly turned to the crowd, wanting to continue with his performance.
The DJ, in retaliation, also refused to continue with the music, signalling Kapeke’s gang to get him off.

Kapeke ran to the DJ with intentions of fighting, but was held back by the group of people that had already stormed the stage.
This is not the first time revellers have witnessed an artist insult a deejay during a performance. Recently, Uncle Chumi, who had a show in Masaka, clashed with a deejay on set after he claimed that he didn’t know any of her songs.

This threw Uncle Chumi in a rage, and within no time, she started hurling insults at the deejay with vulgar language.
This sparked a huge debate on social media with some media stakeholders warning artists about how their music will be blacklisted if they continued to disrespect deejays.
