Twelve year old John Musiimenta and Elizabeth Musiimenta comfortably cruised to victory at the fourth Edition of the Entebbe Golf Club Holiday Junior Golf Tournament that was held on Friday. John Musiimenta quickly adapted to the par-71 Lake side Entebbe Golf Course and carded an amazing 71 Nett after playing an 18-hole round of Golf.
“I’m happy that I have won the tournament. This is my first time to play on the Entebbe Golf Course and I had an amazing day. The course wasn’t so hard”, the 12 year old former Green Hill Academy Pupil who scored 6 Aggregates in his PLE told Entebbenews.
Musiimenta beat Lugazi based seasoned Junior Golfer Godfrey Nsubuga who finished as runners up with 77 Nett.
Elizabeth Musiimenta who has played on the Entebbe Golf Course for sometime comfortably carded a 60 Nett while Julia Nampewo carded 72 Nett to finish as runners up.
Other Winners:
Josiah Odur won the three hole category with 27 Gross while Magoba. C finished as runners up with 28 Gross. Anthony Kato won the six hole category with 37 Gross beating Gregory Alema on count back. Raymond Akope son to season Golfer and Pros Captain Deo Akope won the nine hole challenge with 50 Gross while Emmanuel Okullu finished as runners up with 53 Gross.
All the winners and Runners up in different categories walked away with medals, trophies, certificates and a Shs20,000 KFC Voucher. The tournament attracted a total of 58 junior golfers.
