One of the biggest annual sporting events on the Secondary Schools Calendar the Entebbe Zone Copa Soccer Championships came to a grand climax at the historical Kiwafu Play Ground on Wednesday in Entebbe Municipality with football power house Boston High School cruising to victory. Boston High School over came fierce rivals Kisubi – Mapeera 4-2 on penalty shoot outs in the finals after playing to a goalless draw. Both sides put up a great display but failed to find the back of the net, thanks to goal keepers of the respective sides who endured the hot sunny weather and could only bank on the great morale boosting from fans of their respective schools and supporters from the wider Entebbe community who turned up in record amazing numbers.
Boston High School advanced to the finals after they defeated Entebbe Parents 1-0 in the semi finals while Kisubi-Mapeera progressed to the finals after Kisubi High School was disqualified over fielding an ineligible student.

Both Boston High School and Kisubi Mapeera officially qualified for the Zonal Copa Soccer Championships that will be hosted by St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) who earned an automatic qualification.
Tagy High School was crowned Girl’s soccer champions after they defeated Kisubi – Mapeera 4-1 in the finals. Lillian Mutunzo, Raphael Nakabuubi, Halima Nyakago and Namaganda Zaituni were on the score sheet.
A total of 26 secondary Schools participated in the Men’s football championship while the girl’s football championship attracted only eight secondary schools.
Elsewhere, Nkumba Secondary School and Kennedy High School were crowned Volleyball and Netball Champions respectively.
