
Entebbe club earned the first bragging rights after they outshined their Kigali Golfing counterparts on Saturday in the first leg of the Entebbe Vs Kigali Golf Challenge Cup. Entebbe Club returned a total score of 718 Nett to emerge winners of the first leg beating their Kigali counterparts with 66 strokes who returned a total of 784 Nett.

It is through such golf tournaments and sports in general that we people from the respective East African countries enjoy genuine inter-personal relationships, Ambassador Frank Mugabangye told the 19th hole gallery.
Entebbe Club will travel to Kigali for the second leg at a date that will be communicated.
The Entebbe Vs Kigali Golf Challenge Cup now it’s sixth Edition attracted a total of 107 players.
In the subsidiary March mug of mugs series, Stanley Muhwezi emerged overall winner for the very first time with a score of 70 Nett. He earned himself a mug and a Golf Bag courtesy of Castle Lite Beer.
Other Winners;
Michael Tumusiime, Josef Salani and Daniel Opwonya topped Group A, B and C with nett scores of 71, 71 and 72 respectively while Henry SSali emerged Guest winner 73 Nett. Pamela Tumusiime emerged winner in the ladies Category with 71 Nett. She earned herself a Golf Bag courtesy of Castle lite Beer. Fred Kasumba won the seniors category (55 years and above) with a 78 Nett.
