The Entebbe International Airport Catholic Community on Thursday celebrated their first anniversary since formation of the Chaplaincy a year ago. In his message Papal Nuncio Augustine Michael Blume who was the chief Celebrant urged the Entebbe Airport Catholic Community to live exemplary lives like Jesus Christ. He urged the Entebbe Airport Catholic Community to shun false prophets and shrines and instead seek God through constant prayer so as to guide them and answer their challenges. He revealed that Christians today have a habit of seeking quick answers and immediate solutions and don’t want to walk with Jesus Christ.
Papal Nuncio toured the undergoing project construction of the Cargo centre and also blessed the newly constructed 44 housing units that Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) constructed for the Aviation Police.
We (Entebbe Airport Catholic Community) want to thank Papal Nuncio for honoring to celebrate our first anniversary as an association. He has appreciated the good work the entire Airport Fraternity did when we safely handled the arrival and departure of his holiness Pope Francis. He toured the cargo centre site and also blessed that 44 housing units that CAA constructed for the police Force, CAA Publicist Vianney Luggya who also doubles as the Entebbe Airport Catholic Fraternity spokesperson told entebbenews.

The Entebbe Airport Catholic Fraternity was formed in January 2015 among others to bring together all Catholics working at Entebbe International Airport.
“We formed the association with an aim of bringing Jesus Closer to the Airport Staff and traveling public. We realized that we don’t find time to go to church because of our busy schedules but through the association we fellowship and congregate together every week”, Vianney Luggya added. The Celebrations were held under the theme: Reflect, Rejoice and Renew.
