Socialite and businessman Don Chris has sworn never to sponsor any artist who did not support Jamie Culture’s concert.
For the past few months, Jamie Culture has been holding shows at different hangout spots to celebrate his return to the music scene.
Even after weeks of promotion, the turnout was not pleasing from either the fans or fellow artists, except for Mikie Wine and a few others.
Jamie Culture is one of the few celebrated vocalists and songwriters in the industry. He has written songs for numerous artists, and despite his massive contribution to their careers, a few artists showed up to support him at his mini-concert.
Don Chris, who was in the audience, had the opportunity to step on stage and address the crowd. He expressed his disappointment that the artists had failed to appear. He blamed the low turnout on them, citing that publicizing the show would have attracted a significant number of people.
‘This gentleman needs you all right now. You did not even turn up to support him but you will soon get to where he is right now. You will not be at the top forever; like it or not, you will have to come down.
I was waiting for artists to come and perform for free because it is Jamie Culture. But I have not seen anyone apart from Mikie Wine. He needs you today because every artist has their own fans. If you had showed up, people would have come in large numbers,” he said.
Don Chris further vowed that he will never give any artist sponsorship for their concerts again, due to how they snubbed Jamie Culture’s show.

“I will not forgive anyone, and any artist who has not stepped on this stage should not ask me for a sponsorship for their show. Do not come to my office,” the angry Don Chris said before gifting Jamie Culture and walking off the stage.
For a long time, Jamie Culture had struggled with mental health-related issues. Many linked his instability to drug use to the extent that he was committed to a rehabilitation centre.
