Nearly after four months ever since he mysteriously vanished from his home, Former Amama Mbabazi’s campaign Security head Christopher Aine has mysteriously resurfaced to the bewilderment of the nation. Aine who was speaking to NTV’s Sheila Nduhukire in an exclusive interview revealed that he decided to retreat to a safer place after he realized that he had been surrounded by security operatives.
I moved away to a safer place after I realized that I had been surrounded by security operatives and Gen.Kayihura had put a cash bounty on my head. At that moment I felt I couldn’t trust anyone even my relatives. I wasn’t okay with the situation so I decided to move away good enough I learnt something on survival, a casually speaking Aine said.
Aine also revealed that he spent close to four months without working or even keeping in touch with his family.
Life wasn’t easy, I spent four months without working and without communicating to anyone because I decided to leave all my phones behind, he stated.
On what influenced him to return home, Aine revealed that he could no longer bear the thoughts of his five year-old kid while he was away.
Aine categorically denied masterminding the Ntugamo clashes which saw Former Go-Forward presidential Candidate Amama Mbabazi and Museveni’s supporters clash bitterly plus exchanging sharp and hot blows.
The public was misinformed about the Ntugamo clashes. Our candidate (Amama Mbabazi) was confronted and being the leader of his security detail I was responsible for everything. We had to secure our candidate because people were throwing stones but I apologize to all those who were affected, Aine revealed.
He also revealed that he was never arrested or tortured but he tactfully left his home with some cash.
My Boss Amama Mbabazi never fired me and if I get a chance to work with him again I wouldn’t hesitate. I last talked him when we came out of the Ntugamo clashes. I went to my home, refreshed and the following day is when I moved away. I’ve now come out so that I can clear any court issues against me and get my freedom back to do my own things. Running away will not solve the problem, he indicated.
He added:
I’m looking for someone who is genuine and whom I can trust to help me sort out my problem. I had wanted to meet Gen. Kayihura but I’ve failed because people around him are always asking for money.
Asked about an image that circulated on social media purporting to show his corpse, Aine confirmed that he had seen the image but couldn’t respond because he had left his contacts and phones behind.
Reacting to Aine’s resurrection Leader of opposition in Parliament Wafula Oguttu said that Aine’s disappearance was political.
Judging from his appearance, Aine has been living in a very comfortable place and don’t be surprised if turns out that Gen. Salim Saleh has been keeping him because Mr. Museveni is known for keeping people that way.
Wafula Who was speaking during NTV’s premium talk show ‘On The Spot’ said that FDC didn’t make any statement on Aine’s disappearance.
Some of us didn’t believe that Aine was killed. We believed that he had fled and at one time he would return, Wafula stressed.
Mean while Amama Mbabazi is yet to come out and make a formal statement on the Aine’s resurrection. Gen. Salim Saleh is widely to believed to behind Aine’s resurrection and that Aine retreated to Tanzania where he has been living.

Born in 1982. His father Maj. Julius Aine (RIP) was part of the 41 NRA Soldiers who attacked Kambaba Barracks in 1981. Maj.Julius Aine died in a car accident in 1990.
In 2005 Christopher Aine joined the Special Forces Command and in 2007 he met President Museveni in Kambaba.
He was later discharged from the army and joined an American Security Firm on a five year contarct.
In 2015 Aine joined Amama Mbabazi’s Go-forward Campaign team.
In September 2015, Aine engaged Police in a fight in Jinja and a few days later he was arrested and held in Nalufenya prison in Jinja.
In December 2015 Amama Mbabazi and Museveni’s supporters clashed in Ntugamo.
On December 20, President Museveni ordered the arrest of Amama Mbabazi’s supporters.
A week after the Ntugamo clashes Aine mysteriously disappeared from his home and on December 29 police placed a shs 20m bounty on his head.
On January 7, an image purpoting to show Aine’s coprse emerged on social media and March 30, court dismissed an application ordering police to produce Aine.
