Because of the rising cases of drug addicts in Uganda, the Center for Private Health and Social Adjustment Boss Dr. Biryahwaho Benon has launched a community health program at his facility located along Gowers Road in Entebbe Municipality to combat the vice.
Dr. Benon revealed that the antidote will be administered to all alcohol and drug addicts including Opium, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and several other drugs that cause artificial excitement of mood and hence turning the addict into a societal problem.
“We (Center for Private Health and social Adjustment) have started a rehabilitation and social Adjustment program for alcohol and drug addicts. We offer an antidote in form of a slow release drug intended to block nerve response to exogenous agents of the category that trigger mood changes and in that way craving for drugs and alcohol is blocked”, Dr. Benon stated.
He added;
People out there struggling with drug and alcohol addiction are welcome to our facility for treatment and rehabilitation which takes approximately one year. All we do is to first assess the patient before administering the drug.
