The Civil Aviation Authority has injected over eleven million shillings into the Rwabushenyi Memorial Chess Championship slated to kick off this weekend at the Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Uganda.
The four days brain-game is starting on Thursday,15th to Sunday, 18th January 2015 with two hundred participants who will be battling up for the top prize including Kenya and Somalia. The brain-winner will walk away with over one million shillings cash prize at the 5th annual event organized by the Uganda Chess Federation in remembrance of the late Cyril Rwabushenyi and founder member of the Civil Aviation Authority. The CAA Public Affairs Manager, Eugene Ingundura said at the handover of the dummy cheque that the late Rwabushenyi played a lot in the development of chess and aviation in Uganda.
