Producer Bushingtone, real name George Kagoda, has responded to artists who blame him for denying them a chance to perform at the recently concluded’ 10 Years Of B2C’ concert.

Bushingtone spoke to Sanyuka TV, asserting that he was doing his job as directed by the show owners. In his defense, the entire show was pre-produced and pre-scripted with a strict program that had to be followed.

As the concert head of production, Bush was tasked with bringing the B2C concept to life, and they were aware of everything that happened on stage.

“There is nothing we did that the artists (B2C) are unaware of. We designed the show according to their concept, and my job was to bring their artistry to life. Whatever they were going to say, we had already pre-produced the content. It was meant to be like that,” he said.

One of the artists who complained was Green Daddy, who specifically called out Bushingtone for limiting the acts’ opportunities to step on stage. Only Rema Namakula, Aroma, Omega 256, and Carol Nantongo got the chance, while others were rejected.

Contrary to allegations that emcees were bounced off the stage, Bushingtone explained that Diana Nabatanzi was the official MC of the night, and she did her job.

To the hype men who complained of being pushed off stage, Bushingtone revealed that he had earlier agreed with them that no one besides the emcee would have access to the stage before the B2C stepped on it.

“You cannot say there was no emcee yet Diana was there on stage. Even the hype men performed with their deejays. They did not go on stage because it was not theirs and it was not their show. The B2C were the men of the night. Most of them performed before them, and there was no way they would step on that stage before the owners did so,” he said.
