Leaders of Arua District in West-Nile Region of Uganda have observed that one-two people die every month as a result of rabies that are caused by animal bites. Hundreds of participants braved the morning coldness to grace the Aviation run 2022 that was flagged-off by the State Minister for works and Transport, Fred Byabakama. The State House Health Monitoring team on Tuesday ordered four health centre in-charges in Kabale to apologize for absenteeism. The team led by Assistant Director Dr Brian Arinaitwe, has been in the district for two weeks monitoring the performance of all health facilities. A senior official at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) was this morning killed in a freak accident on the Iganga-Mbale Road. The deceased is Paul Nathan Magera who has been serving as the Head of the Bureau’s Procurement and Disposal Unit. The car crash happened this morning at Busembatya on the Road heading to Tirinyi. Bazzeketta, the proprietor of Maria Flo Hotel, one of the traditional hotels Masaka town and the sub region was found dead in one of his hotels. Police on Saturday arrested city businessman Mukesh Mukesh Babubhai Shukla, the owner of Shumuk Aluminium Industries, for trespassing at Hotel Diplomate in Muyenga. Mukesh had police called on him by the current hotel owners, after he was found taking juice together with his colleagues at the hotel, in spite of an existing court order barring him from stepping foot at the hotel.
