    It’s a sad day for Journalists in Uganda as they woke up Friday to the shocking news of the passing of their colleague James Babalanda.

    Babalanda was found dead in his house in Mukono and is said to have died in his sleep according to his mates.

    He has been working as a cameraman with Nation Media’s NTV and Daily Monitor.

    Details about his passing were still scanty, but according colleagues, he had been battling cardio related illnesses.

    “The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the media community, mostly those who were with him in the field yesterday, Thursday in Kampala.

    “We worked with him yesterday. He said something about taking a break from work for a while,” remarked Ruth a colleague.

    “I will need to see body first. Yesterday I was with him at Insurance Tower,” added Tutus, another friend.
