Uganda has registered a new case of the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total to 122. The new case is a Ugandan truck driver who arrived from Juba via Elegu border post. His sample was among the 2,296 that were tested on Monday at the Uganda Virus Research Institute, Entebbe. This brings the number of confirmed cases of Ugandan truck drivers to over 10. Police in Kajjansi has kicked off investigations into circumstances under which two men were arrested for allegedly bribing a police officer while on duty. The Ministry of Health on Thursday confirmed one new COVID-19 case bringing the total number of cases in the country to 101. “The COVID-19 confirmed cases are now 101 in Uganda,” announced Dr Henry Mwebesa, Director General Health Services.
