Local comedian MC Mariachi is once again in the bad books of the Muslim community following his most recent aggravating jokes.
On Wednesday 20th July, Mc Mariachi performed at Alex Muhangi’s weekly Comedy store alongside other acts.
During Mariachi’s performance, he cracked a number of jokes, including those that seemingly didn’t settle well with Muslim believers.
In one of his skits, Mariachi revealed that he is soon converting to Islam, owing to the religion’s saving and financial discipline.
The comedian went on to disclose that Muslims portray their saving by not trimming their beards, women don’t plait their hair, they don’t buy speakers and chairs in the mosques, and the religion’s prayer leader uses a low-budget microphone to preside over the prayers.
Upon some of the religion’s top-notch leaders crossing paths with Mariachi’s videos that were making rounds on social media, they were so quick to warn the comedian against ridiculing their faith.
According to several videos cited by this website, a number of Sheikhs have come public and urged Mc Mariachi to publicly apologize for dragging their religion through the mad.
These warned Mariachi that tragedy would befall him, failure to publicly apologize for disrespecting their religion.
This is not the first time Mariachi is being put on the spot for disrespecting the Muslim faith, as the late Sheikh Muzaata Nuhu forced him to apologize in 2017 for making jokes about the religion’s eating habits and dress code.
