Musician Anknown Prosper, real name Dalton Ntege, has looked back at the heartbreaking moment manager Roger openly trashed his music in front of big stars.
During the ‘Deep Talk’ with Mr. Henrie, Anknown confessed that the incident happened while he was still figuring out his career.
He linked up with Manager Roger through a mutual friend, Guvnor Ace. This connection saw him hang out in rooms full of stars. He thought this was his chance for his breakthrough, as he was rubbing shoulders with artists with a bigger audience and fan base.
One day, as they were out having fun, Guvnor tried to introduce Anknown’s music to these artists and suggested he play his songs for them, as he thought he had good music.
At that point, Anknown plugged in his flash drive when manager Roja entered the room. He immediately ordered his music switched off because he only wanted big artists to be played that day.

“That is when I knew I was not yet a star. The Flash had my first songs including ‘Doctor’ but they were still in the other version; not the improved one that I released,” he said.
Anknown revealed that manager Roger’s snubbing him made him feel small in front of big artists like Ziza Bafana and Spice Diana, among others, who were present then. He had to gather himself and pick up his flash drive amidst too much embarrassment and shame.

When the incident happened, manager Roger kept giving Anknown false hope with promises of signing him and booking him to sing at Spice Diana’s shows. Several times, he called him for different shows, but for all these, he kept switching off his phone until Anknown gave up.
