Go-forward independent presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi (JPAM) has continued to dominate the political space ever since he parted ways with President Museveni a comrade he has known since the Fronasa days in the early 1970s. The former prime minister and NRM Party secretary General is traversing the country and promising to kick President Museveni out of office ahead of the February 18 polls. Mbabazi who was once referred to as “super minister” has been credited for running very sophisticated political campaigns which have continued to anger his rivals in the ruling the NRM Party. At a press conference that was held on Sunday Go-forward task force unveiled Amama Mbabazi’s game plan to capture Entebbe Municipality ahead of the February 18 polls. The team disclosed that they have so far recruited 30 mobilisers from all the 24 villages in Entebbe Municipality totaling to 720 mobilisers. The Go-forward campaign task force has also disclosed that Mbabazi gave the mobilisers tough instructions to operate clandestinely to avoid being sniffed out and busted.
We decided to support Mbabazi because he is the only candidate who is capable of taking Uganda forward and bring about the much desired change that we long for as a nation. We have mobilisers across Entebbe Municipality who are operating clandestinely because we know the political environment is harsh. The mobilisers are doing incredible work and we are happy that our candidate has the support though many fear coming out openly. the Go-forward campaign task force members disclosed.

They (Go-forward task force) criticized Museveni for taking Uganda backwards as well as failing to honor his past promises.
We are tired of the current regime and all we want is for President Museveni to retire peacefully because there is nothing new he is offering. Schools and hospitals are in are very deplorable state and the youth are feeling the pinch of the biting unemployment. It is only Amama Mbabazi who has the potential to lead us to a Uganda that works for everyone. the Go-forward campaign Task force stated.
The press conference was held at the Go-forward office after police sealed off the Leisure Park where they had scheduled to meet. Meanwhile a meeting that had also been organized at the leisure park a fortnight ago flopped after police sealed off the Leisure Park citing security threats.
The Go-forward Campaign team includes Ambrose Katuntu who is an independent MP Candidate vying for the Entebbe Municipality seat, Naftali Naturinda (coordinator), Sam Batambira (communications officer), Mugabi Daniel (Chairman), Kakungulu Kenneth (Secretary), Stuart Tumusiime (Spokesperson).
